About KOREATECH
We welcome all of you with warm hearts Technology for the People, Education that’s Changing the World
As the president of the Korea University of Technology & Education (KOREATECH), I sincerely welcome all of you who have shown interest in our university.
KOREATECH is a university established by the Korean government in 1991, and it is known as a small giant with Korea’s top-tier education infrastructure. KOREATECH is the university with Korea’s highest employment rate, made possible by its leading position in fostering key talents for the 4th Industrial Revolution and by its undergraduate program, which is the best in Korea.
Under the education philosophy of sil-sa-gu-si (seeking truth from facts), we foster creative convergence talents with outstanding humanistic and engineering knowledge, as well as excellent problem-solving capabilities arising from practical and technical knowledge based on creative thinking and a go-for-it spirit.
In order to foster talent who will lead the 4th Industrial Revolution, KOREATECH offers curriculums with opportunities to fully learn key technologies in each major. Furthermore, KOREATECH is allowing students to acquire “micro degrees,” which are equivalent to a minor, in addition to their major by enrolling in special track programs in AI, big data, etc., offered by the convergence management major.
We are currently building an education environment consisting of the first and largest 5G-based smart learning factory among Korean universities offering opportunities to learn key technologies of the 4th Industrial Revolution, such as AR/VR and robots, in the field. The Dadam Future Learning Center, which opened in 2023, will be utilized as a testbed and incubator for the development of edutech-based future technology training models, and drive KOREATECH towards becoming the leading creative convergence education hub of Korea.
In addition, KOREATECH operates leading national lifelong vocational training facilities, including the Competency Development Institute, Online Lifelong Education Institute, and Vocational Competency Assessment Institute, as the university’s support facilities for the lifelong vocational training of residents.
We will not remain content with current achievements, but will go beyond a good university to become a great university by differentiating itself, providing data-based personalized student growth support, reinforcing its role as a lifelong vocational training hub, and establishing sustainable management innovations that align with its members.
KOREATECH will continue to endeavor to fulfill its role as a leader in fostering key talents required by the country and in providing lifelong vocational training.
Thank you.
