School of Electrical,
Electronics & Communication Engineering
The School of Electrical, Electronics & Communication Engineering offers three majors: Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering and Information and Communication Engineering. The aim of the Electrical Engineering major is to cultivate electrical engineers who can design and develop electrical devices, electrical power systems and power electronic systems. The aim of the Electronics Engineering major is to teach basic theory and skills for the overall electronics engineering field, with a focus on fostering adaptability for creative problem-solving. The aim of the Information and Communication Engineering major is to cultivate communication engineers, network system developers and software developers who have the capabilities to develop communications systems, network systems and system application software. Students are affiliated in the major they select according to their aptitude and acquire professional knowledge, but have the freedom to select courses open in other majors in the school to learn practical skills of more blended and integrated information technology. In addition, the School of Electrical, Electronics & Communication Engineering has been operating an advanced electrical engineering program, advanced electronics engineering program and advanced information and communication engineering program certified by the Accreditation Board for Engineering Education of Korea (ABEEK) since the 2006 school year.
