koreatech School of Energy Materials

Just as human history is divided into the stone age, bronze age and iron age, human civilization has developed along with new material innovations. In the fields of the modern-day fourth industrial revolution, such as the next-generation semiconductors, future mobility and future energy, the role and importance of new materials are increasing even more. The School of Energy Materials of KOREATECH aims to cultivate talented individuals with a broad knowledge of and skills in new material engineering, which is the foundation for the development of industry and the competitiveness of the nation. To this end, the School of Energy Materials offers both theories of various fields, such as semiconductors, displays and mobility materials, and basic, advanced and application courses covering specialized theories and systematic practical training from design to manufacturing and performance evaluation.
The education and research areas of the School of Energy Materials consist of the future energy field, which requires convergent knowledge of new material engineering, the semiconductor and display field, which studies the electromagnetic and optic characteristics of new materials and their application, and the future mobility field, which is based on an understanding of the structures and strengths of new materials. Graduates work in various businesses, public offices, public institutions and institutes and play a key role in their areas based on the broad knowledge and hands-on experience of the major.
