

A Korean Language and Cultural Study Program for Foreigners and Overseas Koreans.
The objective of the program is to promote the learning of Korean language and culture, as well as to assist international students adapt to life in Korea.
This program is unique among Korean language programs offered elsewhere in Korea. KOREATECH, as the leader of specialized engineering education in Korea, offers language programs tailored to the practical needs of students planning to enter the Engineering College. Students admitted to an advanced level in the KOREATECH Korean Language program will be given the opportunity to learn the Korean language within a systematic curriculum that converges with lectures in the engineering fields, encompassing theory and practice, field study, among others. Finally, our Korean language program offers opportunity to acquire a high quality education and experience life at an institute of higher learning at relatively low expense.
Enrollment in our program will grant students part-time work opportunities on campus.

- Sisterhood/brotherhood program with Korean students of KOREATECH

- Eligibility for work-study program of KOREATECH
- Student ID issued (used for borrowing books from the library and entering the gym, electronic cash)
- Students who acquire Level 3 or higher in the Test of Proficiency in Korean (TOPIK) may be admitted immediately to the KOREATECH undergraduate school in the upcoming semester
- Supplementary training for slow learners
4. Tuition & Dormitory Fee
- Korean Language Course : KRW 1,300,000 Won per 1 Quarter(10 weeks)
- Dormitory Fee : KRW 740,000 Won per 2 Quarter(20 weeks)
- Before Beginning of the semester : Refund 100% of the tuition
- Before One-third of a Month’s Total Course Hours : Refund two-thirds of that particular month’s tuition
- Before One-half of a Month’s Total Course Hours : Refund one-half of that particular month’s tuition
- Withdrawal During The Second Half of a Semester : Non-refundable

7. Documents Required
1. Proof of Academic Degree (Academic Background): Choose between the following (1) and (2)
(1) Apostille proof of academic degree (academic background)
(2) Documents approved by the Korean consulate in the home country or by the home country’s consulate or embassy located in Korea
2. A copy of academic transcripts for the highest level of education received
3. A copy of passport
4. A copy of identification (student and both parents)
5. A certified copy of birth certificate (translated into English or Korean)
6. A certified copy of family register (including all family members)
- In the event of a parent's divorce: a copy of the divorce decree (including the parent's name and date of birth)
- In the event of a parent's death: a copy of the death certificate (including the parent's name and date of birth)
7. Color photo 1 (3.5cm × 4.5cm) (taken within the last three months)
8. A copy of a certificate of deposit balance of 10 million KRW (USD 8,000) or more in the name of the applicant or financial guarantor
(the certificate must be issued within 30 days from the date of visa application)
9. A 6-month transaction history from the applicant or financial guarantor
10. A copy of proof of employment from the financial guarantor (including income, work phone number, and address) or a business license and proof of property for individual businesses
11. Documents that present career experience after graduation (for those who have graduated)
※ Documents issued abroad must be submitted in their original form with Korean or English translation and notarization. (Exception: A photocopy of passport and ID can be submitted without translation and notarization)
※ Residents in Korea with F-1, F-2, F-4, E-2, and D-8 Visas need to contact the application office.
※ Additional documents may be requested for qualification examination.
- If any information is false or if entry is obtained illegally, admission will be rejected or canceled.
- All submitted documents will not be returned.
- All matters after admission are in accordance with the university's rules and bylaws.
- If the student wants to cancel the application before the start of semester, one can receive a full refund of the tuition fee. And if one wants to dropout after the start of semester, the tuition fee will be refunded according to the refund standard.
