Department of Architectural Engineering (School of Industrial Design & Architectural Engineering)
Architectural engineering, which combines the study of architecture and engineering, aims to explore engineering knowledge related to the creation process of a structure. Therefore, most of the educational content is closely related to the real world, and students acquire the knowledge to effectively manage the building production processes, such as architectural planning, building construction and materials and building structure, based on an understanding of engineering and technology.
Introduction to School/Majors
Architectural engineering is a study of harmony. It is not a mere technique, but a convergence field leading the harmony of various factors, including art, high-tech engineering, nature and humanity. Through this education on harmony, the Department of Architectural Engineering cultivates leaders of architectural engineering with knowledge of both art and cutting-edge engineering, and in this way aims to develop new type of out-of-the-box architectural engineering talent. Graduates of the major are working as architectural experts in architecture firms and public offices.
