[GKS-UIC] 현장실습 참여 관련 안내

GKS-UIC 과정 학생들의 현장실습 운영과 관련하여 아래와 같이 안내드립니다.

GKS-UIC(산학협력과정)은 일반 학위과정과 구분되는 특화트랙으로 운영되고 있으며, 국립국제교육원 안내사항과 같이 산업체 연계 기반의 유학생 정주·취업 지원을 목적으로 하는 이공계 과정입니다.

특히 첨부된 「정부초청외국인장학사업(GKS) 사업설명서」 내 UIC 과정 설명에서도 산학협력과정으로 명시되어 있는 바, 

GKS-UIC 학생들은 재학 중 우리 대학 산학협력 교육과정의 일환인 현장실습(장기 또는 단기)에 참여하여야 함을 안내드립니다.

현장실습은 학생 전공과 연계된 산업체 현장 경험 및 진로·취업 역량 강화를 위한 과정으로 운영되며, 현장실습 신청 일정 및 운영 관련 사항은 현장실습 공지사항을 참고하여 주시기 바랍니다.

또한 첨부된 현장실습 학점표를 반드시 참고하시기 바랍니다. 현장실습 인정학점은 트랙별 기준에 따라 전공필수, 전공선택, HRD선택 등으로 구성되어 있으며, GKS 외국인 학생의 졸업학점에도 동일하게 인정됩니다.

즉, 현장실습 학점이 본인의 졸업학점에 별도로 제외되거나 인정되지 않는 것이 아니라, 각 학과 및 트랙 기준에 따라 졸업학점에 포함되는 부분이므로 수강신청 및 졸업학점 계획 수립 시 반드시 반영하여 학점을 계산하시기 바랍니다.

[GKS-UIC] Notice on Participation in Industry Professional Practice

Hello, this is the Office of Global Education Team.

We would like to provide the following notice regarding the field training program for students in the GKS-UIC program.

The GKS-UIC (University-Industry Cooperation) program is operated as a specialized track distinct from the general degree program. 

As stated in the NIIED guidelines, the program is designed for engineering and science majors with the objective of supporting international students’ settlement and employment in SouthKorea through industry-linked education.

In particular, the attached “Global Korea Scholarship (GKS) Program Guideline” also specifies the UIC program as a university-industry cooperation program.

Accordingly, GKS-UIC students are required to participate in the Industry Professional Practice(IPP; long-term or short-term) as part of the university’s industry-academic cooperation curriculum during their studies. 

The Industry Professional Practice(IPP) is intended to provide practical industry experience related to students’ majors and to strengthen career and employment competencies. 

Please refer to the industry Professional Practice notices for application schedules and detailed operational information.

In addition, please carefully review the attached IPP credit recognition table. The credits earned through IPP are recognized according to each track’s curriculum requirements, such as Major Required, Major Elective, or HRD Elective credits, and are equally applicable to the graduation credit requirements for GKS international students.

Therefore, IPP credits are not excluded from graduation requirements; rather, they are recognized as part of the official graduation credits based on each department and track curriculum. Students are advised to consider these credits carefully when planning course registration and graduation requirements.
