📢 Recruitment of the 21st "Friends of Korea"

We are currently recruiting capable individuals for the 21st "Friends of Korea", a civilian diplomatic delegation dedicated to correcting misinformation about Korea and promoting Korean culture globally. We kindly ask for your active cooperation in promoting this opportunity.

1. Recruitment Overview

Eligibility: Korean citizens or foreign nationals aged 18 or older, residing either in Korea or abroad.

* Note for foreign nationals: Must possess a level of Korean proficiency sufficient to conduct promotional and monitoring activities.

Application Period: Monday, June 1, 2026 (09:00) – Tuesday, June 30, 2026 (17:00) [KST]

Number of Selectees / Announcement: Approx. 40 members / Wednesday, July 15, 2026

*The official inauguration ceremony is scheduled to take place in mid-July.

2. Activity Details

Activity Period: July 15, 2026 – December 31, 2026 (approx. 5.5 months)

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyzing Korea-related information published overseas and reporting inaccuracies (misinformation).

• Promoting the "Facts About Korea" service to both Koreans and foreign nationals.

Benefits & Privileges:

• Issuance of an official Certificate of Participation.

• Outstanding members will be eligible for a Commendation from the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism or an award from the Director of Friends of Korea.

• Volunteer hours officially recognized through the 1365 Volunteer Portal.
