보건복지부에서 법무부와 협업을 통해 외국인 유학생이 요양보호사 자격을 취득하고 졸업 후 노인의료복지시설(노인요양시설)에 취업하는 경우 비자를 변경할 수 있는 제도를 시행하고 있습니다.

1. 자격요건(아래 4개 요건 모두 충족 필요)

1) 학력: 국내 대학 전문학사 이상 학위 소지

* 대학 재학 중에 자격 취득 가능하며, 졸업 이후에 취업 가능함

2) 자격증: 요양보호사 자격증 소지

3) 한국어 능력: 사회통합프로그램(KIIP) 3급 이상 이수 또는 사전평가 61점 이상 또는 TOPIK 3급 이상

4) 소득요건: 당해연도 최저임금 이상

2. 인원수: 연 400명 이내

3. 자격 취득

1) 교육기관: 보건복지부로 문의하면 적정한 교육기관 안내 받을 수 있음

2) 교육과정: 총 320시간

- 이론 126시간, 실기 114시간, 실습 80시간으로 구성

- 교육기관에서 실습기관을 연계하여 실습을 진행

3) 자격시험: 상시시험으로, 시험 응시가 수시로 가능

The Ministry of Health and Welfare, in cooperation with the Ministry of Justice, has implemented a program that allows international students to obtain a Certified Care Worker (Caregiver) qualification and change their visa status after graduation if they are employed at a long-term care facility for older adults (nursing home).

1. Eligibility Requirements(Applicants must meet all four of the following requirements)

1) Educational Requirement: Hold at least an associate degree from a Korean university.

* The caregiver qualification may be obtained while enrolled at a university, but employment is only permitted after graduation.

2) Qualification: Hold a Certificate Care Worker(Caregiver) certificate.

3) Korean Language Proficiency: KIIP(Korea Immigration & Integration Program) Level 3 or above, Score 61 points or higher on the KIIP pre-evaluation test, Hold TOPIK Level 3 or above

4) Income Requirement: Earn at least annual minimum wage for the relevant year

2. Annual Quota: Up to 400 applicants per year.

3. Obtaining the Care Worker Qualification

1) Training Institution: Contact the Ministry of Health and Welfare for information on approved training institutions.

2) Training Program: Total 320 hours

- Theory 126 hours, Practical training 114 hours, Clinical practicum 80 hours

- The training institution will arrange the practicum placement with an affiliated training site.

3) Qualification Examination: The examination is offered year-round, allowing applicants to take the test at any time through the rolling examination system.
